Photographers on Safari/Inner Farne Island

Another excellent Photographers on Safari event.

Got to Inner Farne eventually after the bad weather last year

It soon became clear it was well worth the wait and once the group had endured the obligatory mobbing by the Artic Terns there were Puffins everywhere you looked

Taking the time to watch for a while makes you notice the regular flight patterns which helps greatly in following these rather fast birds with your lens

Fantastic on ground portraits and also in flight shots are all possible if you pick an incoming subject and stick with it

Watch out though as gulls are waiting to steal the Puffins prize of sand eels

A truly magical place with these wonderful birds and as usual these trips end far too quickly

Definitely a place you will want to revisit
